The 7 Core Values of Whitefish Foursquare Church
1. Family. People matter. Loving them is
primary. Children deserve special time and attention. The church
is God's spiritual family, designed to support and nurture its
members. Godly, genuine and gracious relationships build Jesus'
church.
"...Whoever does the will of my Father in Heaven is my
brother and sister and mother..." Matthew 12:50
2. Finding the Lost. Our life isn't all about
us! Everything we do should further the cause for which we exist
helping others get to know Jesus better.
"...(Jesus) came to seek and to save that which was lost."
Luke 19:10
3. Quality.
a. Excellence. We will strive to improve our efforts and
develop our abilities because God deserves our best. We will
review and refine our performance.
"...just as you excel in
everything...excel in this also." 2 Corinthians 8:7
b. Relevance. Understanding our
generation helps us to creatively present the Gospel, so that it
is accessible to seekers and redemptive to our society.
". .he asked them, 'who do people say I
am?'" Mark 8:27
c. Abundance. We believe God is
able to supply more than we need. We reject a scarcity mentality
and will practice liberality.
"...to Him who is able to do exceedingly
more than all we could ask or imagine.."
Ephesians 3:20
4. Team Work. Every man and woman has a
worthwhile role to play on the team and is responsible to make
their unique contribution.
"Two are better than one because they have a good reward for
their work." Ecclesiastes 4:9
5. Service. We are committed to serving others.
Wherever the need, whatever it takes, no matter how hard or
humble the task, we will get the job done.
"...the greatest among you should be like the youngest and
the one who rules like the one who serves." Luke 22:26
6. Personal Growth. Our devotion to God will be
evident in our willingness to change and to learn. We embrace
the disciplines that will help us love Him more dearly,
understand Him more clearly and follow Him more nearly.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart."
Colossians 3:23
7. Joy. Jesus' desire is that we are
strengthened by joy. We welcome humor that isn't sarcastic or
demeaning. Fun will characterize our life together and we will
not take ourselves too seriously.
"...leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven."
Luke 6:23
Our prayer is that God use us to see the lost become
converts, new converts become growing disciples,
mature disciples become practicing servants and faithful
servants become fruitful leaders.
